It had seemed like a good idea at first, going and getting a job in a bar. She had worked in Inferno for a while after all, once she and Ben got back home, then they had flown off to India, now they were back at home.

The orphanage was in safe hands with Katie, her best friend in India, and now she was working as a barmaid. She had got up early this morning, making a move to get dressed, comb her hair and put some make-up on.

She hated to leave Ben asleep but she had needed to get out. They had had a happy enough marriage, three times now, but he had begun to pull away again and she needed to think things through.

She was serving drinks behind the bar when the door blew open, leaving her staring at the man in the doorway.

"Oh... hell."

Ben looked at her and smirked

"Hey up Duchess, what yar doing behind there then?"

He teased her gently as he came and sat at the bar.

"Oh, just working for once."

Polly teased back, finding herself somehow flirting with Ben even though just minutes before she had been wondering if she actually still loved him. Now, even when she had snuck out on him, here he was, smiling and teasing.

"So, what can I get you Sailor boy?"

Her voice was soft, flirty and just a little teasing, the same way she always had been with him. She knew now that she loved him, she really loved him.

Ben smiled and laughed softly

"Well what would a Dolly waitress like you"

He gave her a teasing smirk at for once being able to use her tease word of Dolly on her

"suggest for a sailor like me?"

he asked her good naturedly

"A good slap."

Polly teased.

"Other than that? Well... wait and see."

She moved away, concocting a drink that appeared to be bright green in colour, and minty in smell.

"Try this."

*Ben smiled*

"You do the first suggestion love and public place or no public place I'll put you across my lap and giving you a right good spanking."

*He winked at her and took the drink. He took a sip of it*

"Hey now that's not half bad....whats it got in it Duchess?"

*he asked*

"You wish Sailor boy."

Polly had retorted with a smirk, although she had watched as he sipped his drink, smiling as she spoke.

"Kahlua, Crème De Menthe... and a little orange juice."
